Acadia National Park Carriage Roads: Intersections 1, 2, and 3

There are 45 miles of Carriage Roads in Acadia National Park. Our little family trio set a goal (over lunch a few days before the new year) to traverse (walk, stroll, be carried, etc.) all 45 miles together in 2012. And, since it was a sunny 38 degrees today, we began our traversing today!

We're using RunKeeper to track our stats. Our highest elevation was 271 ft.

I count 38 intersection markers on the official Carriage Road map, and we passed numbers 1, 2, and 3 today. We parked at the Acadia Visitor's Center in Hull's Cove and walked toward Witch Hole Pond from there.

Wide Carriage Roads make for an easy walk with a toddler.

If you are so inclined, there is more information about the Carriage Roads here.
